AZ Members Need Help

Son-in-law is working in Phoenix area and he got a check engine light. Shows to be a p2599 code for his Duramax, truck is a 2013 GMC Sierra with the 6.6 in it. only has 45,000 miles on it so still got some GM time left.

From another forum:

 

P2599 - Turbocharger Boost Control Position Performance - High
Conditions to set the code are: Coolant has to be between 158* and 253*, engine running between 30 and 210 seconds after a restart, Ambient temp over 5* F.
If all are met P2599 will run continuously.
Actions taken by PCM, DPF is inhibited.
Also a restricted oil supply fees to the turbo "may" cause this code to set.
