Removing the running boards

Hey guys,

So I'm not sure if anyone else has run into the same issue, but I'm from the East Coast and had my truck undercoated because of the nasty chemicals that turns the rides up here into rot and now want to remove the running boards. So here's my main concern, by removing the running boards I don't want stuff getting under my coating. Has anyone put plugs in to replace the boards in the rocker panels or any other techniques? I have thought about re-coating it however if (for some reason) I want to put the running boards back on it would be quite difficult. I know a lot of people out West don't have to deal with snow and nasty weather but I just wanted to see what people have done out there if anything. Thanks guys!

Just put the bolts back in that should work and if you decide to put the boards back on the bolts are right were you left em.

Coat the bolts with bearing grease before installing. Works like a charm on towing ball nuts.
