1960 4x4 front disc conversion

I recently bought a 1960 gmc 4x4. I buy restore/mod classic cars and truck. This is the first 4x4 truck I have done. This truck is all drum brakes. I want to put discs on the front. I have seen tons of conversion kits for 2 wheel drive trucks but can't find any for a 4x4. Just thought I would ask if anyone has knows of or has used any late model parts to do a swap.

Finding a bolt on swap might be tough, but you might try someone like Summit, they may be able to help. As you say there are a ton of conversion kits out there so there has to be one for that truck. That or get in touch directly with one of the aftermarket brake MFG's like Wildwood or Baer Brakes.

Rockauto.com lists brake pads & calipers for '71 & '72 trucks so I'm wondering if a complete axle from those years might somehow be adapted to your '60 :dunno:
