fuel system cleaning?

i had a p0300 missfire code ,took it to shop they said #7 injector was bad…had it replaced and fuel injector cleaning …650.00……3 weeks later cel comes back on with p0307 code.took it back.now they say rust and crud from tank and rails gumming up injectors.they want 500.00 to drop tank and clean injectors…isn't that what they did.should i have to pay for cleaning twice?and it's #7 injector that is mis firing.the one they replaced?PLEASE advise anyone…thanks…..

Did they check the coil and plug to the spark plug before they determined it was the fuel injector? It's an easy swap with another one to see if the misfire moves.

 

 

Did they provide you with the old injector?

 

Did they replace the spark plug?

 

rust and crud..... That's what the fuel filter is for. :-p

 

IF (and I don't believe it), it's crud messing up your injector, it would be Vegas odds for it to hit #7 again, AND It should be random and more cylinders than just one.

 

I feel they hosed you once, don't let them do it again.
