95 s10 p/u with turn signal issue

hey guys, gotta '95 s10 standard cab pick up with the 4cyl 5spd in it. she's a great beater! about 2 months ago my left turn signal went out, naturally i checked the bulb first, nada. then checked the ground underneath, removed it and cleaned it up, still not it :/ then about 3 weeks ago my right blinker went out too. i bought a new turn signal piece/indicator off ebay and havent installed it yet (heard it's a pain and you have to pull a lot apart) but what else could it be? flasher maybe? but if that was it, wouldnt both have went out at the same time?
