3" lift on 2016 silverado Z71 tire size and wheel back spacing

I have a 2016 Silverado z71. With a 3 " lift can I put 35" x12.5 tires or do j have to stick with 33's? And if I can use 35's what backspace wheels should I use so they don't rub. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

35's will definitely not work with only a 3 inch lift. The largest size you can do will probably be a 295/60/20 in an all terrain tread pattern or a 33/12.5 in a mud terrain. Even than it may be necessary to tie back the liners on back of fender and/or trim the air dam.
