Low oil pressure

Hello everyone. I have a 2000 chevy silverado 15005.3 it has almost 250000 miles on it. Runs and works perfect. The only thing is bothering me is the oil pressure when stop on a red light the oil pressure gauge drops all the way down as soon as drive the oil pressure goes up. Should I have to replace the engine or is there any clogged sc

Filter/screen. Any advice would be appreciate. Thank you.

I had the same problem with my '04 tahoe, check your oil pressure sensor at the back of the motor to make sure it's not faulty. If your engine sounds like an old typewriter it's your oil pump that's bad. I just got mine done and it's night & day with the way the truck performs
