Dis/Re-assembling centre jumpseat arms

Anyone know how to snap the jumpseat arm covers back in place? The part under the arrow has two metal tabs that slide together after removing the arm cover, blocking the slot, so the tab on the cover can't fit in the slot. I'll see if I can get a picture, but that might have to wait til I disassemble it again. I'm planning on replacing the cloth with leather, still waiting on parts, but maybe someone who's already done this knows what I mean.
