Wheel spacers

Quick question. I recently noticed while at the shop my front wheels stick out a little more than the rear. I have. 6 " pro comp lift on my truck. The guys at the shop said its because of the knuckles. I do not really know what that is but long story short I was told by them to purchase 2" wheel spacers from rough country for the rear.

Will this give me vibrations or wil it be okay? And if so what can I do to remove said vibrations?

I have after market wheels btw. My setup is 35x12.50r20

Thanks a lot. Getting this done Friday so would like some advice before then!!

Again. Thanks guys!

Spacers are only needed if you want to match the track width of the front wheels. Due to the lift, the front is now wider than the rear. IMO get the spacers, it drives me crazy seeing trucks without them.

Many steer you in the direction of 1.75 or 2" spacers to avoid trimming the studs. Check if your wheels have pockets in the rear for the studs. If they do, you don't need 2" spacers, your factory studs will sit inside the pockets without any trimming. BORA are one of the better spacers available. I've also used some from eBay with zero issues.

1.5" will probably be closer to your front track width.1bfb756f90c2c78e82308ea332049aa0.jpg

Okay thanks.

We'll the down side is I already ordered the rough country spacers that are 2 "

So I guess we will see how they turn out.

Thanks for the help man.

I don't think you'll notice the difference. Good luck with everything

I have the FTS 7" lift on my truck with the same size tire and wheel diameter you have. Wheels are 20x10 -14 offset. The offset and tire size is irrelevant really. I went with 1-1/4" spacers in the rear, trimmed the unthreaded "tips" off of the studs and not only do the studs sit perfectly below the face of the spacer, but my track widths are identical now. Just make sure if nothing else that your spacers are a true hubcentric spacer.

What size spacers make a difference? And make a truck look better?

all depends on your personal preference. Obviously 2" will make the biggest difference. Go with atleast 1.5" spacers, if you have to do any trimming with 1.5 then its just the nipple on the studs, which doesn't even have threads on it so its not like it hurts anything to trim it off. Thats what I had to do.

Also stick with Bora, more expensive but well worth it. Never seen anyone have an issue with Boras

Thanks for that info, as i've been tossing aroudn this idea as well. Would you mind posting a few pics of yours showing how far your wheels stick out? Ive got stock A/T wheels with 33x12.50 and a pretty significant rub on the UCA. trying to find the best solution

I'll find some pics and update this post with them after class. however I will say I don't have stock rims so it won't stick out as much on your truck as it does mine.

Great, thanks man! did your wheels have the pockets in the back for the stock studs to slide in?

they did not, so I had to trim the nipples off the OEM studs. Wasn't bad and no change in thread count

Awesome to know. My OEM A/T wheels DO have the pockets. In that case, I wonder if I can get away with 1.25" boras and not have to trim? hmmmmmm
