2016 hids, kinda yellow?

Just got my 2016 silverado with the HID bulbs.

 

They look kinda yellow to me. Especially compared to the LED fog lights.

 

Anyone else notice this? Can I put a different color HID bulb in to get closer to the LED foglight color? I dont even know what I'm looking for, never had a factory hid setup before that I've serviced..

Yes, they're 4300K which is much whiter than the halogen lights of old, but not as white as many choose for aftermarket systems. They're D5S bulb/ballast combos; you may be able to find whiter replacements but I haven't really looked.

The retrofit source could probably hook you up on some 5000k-6000k replacement bulbs.

Is that all that's needed? I got used to an LTZ with the LED headlights while I was waiting on them to process the repurchase, now that I finally have my own truck, the headlights feel yellow.

I'm not sure, but they look 5k to me.
