2000 silverado w/headers.

Okay so me and my buddy are arguing over something i have no idea what im talking about and i need a hand eith understanding this. He says to install headers in my 2000 silverado 5.3 that i would have to jack up the engine to get to it. Im a little confused on this because it doesnt look that hard to get to. Explain please

I didn't have to do any of that when I installed headers on the 2005 that I use to have.
