In cab fuseboxes - which side of ATM fuses is positive?

Do atm fuses even have a polarity? If you are unsure, you can set your DMM leads across the fuse, set to DCV and see which arrangement will give you a + or - voltage reading. If you get a -V you know you have the leads set reverse of the polarity.

I'm no expert but when I first read this thread I thought to myself "both sides are positive". A fuse is kind of like a wire with thin spot. Both ends of the fuse are the same wire. But I admit I'm not a tech or even much of a DIY person.

Now a different question would be which side should a person tap if they want the fuse to protect the new circuit they're adding? I don't know which way the current is flowing, other words which side is the supply from the battery and which side is leading out to the device/load.

All you have to do is pull the fuse and check each side for power. The side with power would be the direct live. The other side is protected by the fuse. Hope this helps.

Yes, sorry, worded that wrong. That's what I was trying to ask.

I should get a circuit tester, but I figured somebody had already done this and would know.

edit: Power comes from the top slot.
