I'm new to the group and recently purchased a 2016 Silverado 1500 Custom and am torn between if I should lower the rear with drop shackles and put 24 OEM style wheels on it or buy a level kit for the front to raise it 2-2.25' and put some 22" Fuel Mavericks on? If I could get any insight on what would be the best to do, I do live in Illinois so we do get tough winters here and I will be hauling some stuff in the bed of the truck too. Thanks for you help!

Thats like asking what kind of music should I like. What do YOU like? But since you asked. 24s and rubber band tires is about as sexy as an ass full of poison ivy. Oh, and welcome.

I'm not asking for people to tell me what to get, I'm asking for insight or suggestions as I will be driving this in winter and will be hauling things sometimes in the bed of the truck.

The 2.5 Level kit from Rough Country is what I'd like to go with then to raise the front to level with the rear, but how do I find out if I have steel or aluminum control arms?
