Rough 2-1 downshift. Tranny issue or normal for a 4.32?

I have noticed this for a while now but don't recall it happening when I first bought the truck.

When slowing to a stop I can feel the truck shift into 1st. It feels as if I were pumping the brake hard. I don't necessarily hear it, but you can definitely feel it. Sometimes I can feel the 3-2 downshift too.

It's not the tune. I flashed it back to stock to double check and it does the same with the stock tune.

Anything worth getting looked at or is this normal for this gearing and tranny?

User TheArizonaProject shared the answer in another thread:

Try holding down the town/haul button for 5 seconds and then release. It should read in the DIC "grade braking disabled". That should make the trans shift smoother in certain situations and may fix what you're experiencing.

This is normal for me The whole turning off grade braking thing, helps most of the time but it'll still do it just not as often

Yep I'm seeing how you are correct here. Also don't get how every time I start the truck it seems to be back on. Shouldn't it always be off unless tow mode is engaged?
