Spyder DRL Projector Headlights (2015 GMC Sierra)

Good morning fellow truckers,

I am fairly new to these boards so if this has been brought up prior, please forgive me. I have a 2015 GMC Sierra and like many of you, the headlights suck. I have been looking at several options and have narrowed them down to these Spyder DRL Projector Headlights.

*Has anyone installed/used these before? If so, what are your thoughts on them? Is there a better option for around the same price? I am not looking to get into a really involved switch out. I would like it to be as stock looking and minimally invasive as possible.

**Also, which one do you guys think would look better on a Bronze Alloy Metallic, the black or chrome ones?

Thanks in advance!

Failed to mention that my truck is an SLE so I was not sure if anything additional might be needed for installation?

I put the first ones in....they are pictured in my avatar. Got them off eBay for 333.....installation was plug and play for my 14 All Terrain SLT. They improved the lighting and for their two months of use have been great.

Awesome, thanks for the reply. I plan on ordering a set today. Did you have to do any adjusting to the projectors? Or were they pretty spot on when you installed the lights?

It depends on how anal you are. For me they were close enough to let go until the next time I tear the front end off. I couldn't figure out a way to access the adjustment screws without taking the light out and adjusting then putting it back in to check and repeat repeat repeat....so I left it. My passenger needs to come down and in a little but mehhh

So the installation was pretty straight forward other than adjustments? Did they come with installation instructions? I know you've got to take the molding off of the top of the front bumper. Was that difficult?

Thanks again!

Btw, those lights look awesome on your truck. Cannot wait to get them installed on mine and hopefully it will help with the lighting...

It was true plug and play installation. plastic cover under hood comes off, molding comes off, grill comes off four bolts per headlight, plug and play. There are two screws in the wheel well that you have to remove, one is obvious and the second is a pain the first couple of times you do it. Pulling the molding off is a little frightening the first time as well.

No instructions were included but there are some good youtube videos out there for taking the truck apart, including a member on here I think it's dropkick

Thanks for the compliment, I'm pleased with them for the price. Good luck with yours be sure to post pics when you are done, if you have any questions let me know.

one thing worth mentioning is that these lights don't use stock bulb size. Just something to keep in mind if you ever intend to upgrade to LED or HIDs in the future.

I just installed these yesterday and they look amazing the bulbs though are not very bright so will most likely be switching them out but over all i love the way they look on the truck.

they look pretty cool to be honest

Those are awesome. I ordered a set yesterday. I ended up getting the Chrome with Clear Lenses. Should be here on Thursday so hopefully I can get them installed this weekend. Any chance you could post a night picture?

This is at night little dull with original bulbs but most likely swapping them out in the future.

How does the Hi-Beams look?

Honestly I haven't had them on for more than 5 minutes in the last few days but hopefully will get some photos of them tonight
