Cracked Subframe

I just got an 06 Sierra 2500 HD 8.1 last night. The truck seemed in great condition but when going over all components before taking in for inspection I wiped off some grease and my stomach sank when I saw a crack in the sub frame. It is where the lower control arm bolts to the frame. Only cracked on one side. Can this be fixed?

Also this was a private party purchase, so a return is not an option unfortunately.

Have it welded by a GOOD welding shop. Try to find one that works on 18 wheelers, because they do weld on those frames when the trucks need modifying for a different purpose.
