Well I ordered the bran new Edelbrock 600cfm electric choke Performer carburetor today. So can't wait to get that thing mounted. Hopefully that should be it under the hood for a while. I'll post the picture when I get it

nice keeper.

my first was a 79, electric windows, a/c..

still smelled new...approx 70k miles.

350, 4 barrel.

it sure did let out a bellow. Back then the 350 and 305 was worlds apart.

I still remember the 1996 metric 305 vortec making a butt out of all the years of 350, even the camaros.

no other truck smelled like those 70s. I mean that in a good way. I assumed they added something to get away from the crazy dash from factory.

it went to heck to bad casting..starting with lifter bores.

loved it anyway, 2 tone black and silver.

To this day, someone would stare at it no doubt (it got attention at less than 10 years old in the 80s.)

I only gave up for lack of alternator control, skinny frame.

the appearance is an all time favorite.

Yes sir. I can only imagine

I've had it long time, it has certain smell to that truck for the last 16 yrs I've had it. My wife and 4yr old say it smells like gas lol. But I still enjoy driving it. Next thing I'll start on is getting the heater working again and I'll start the ac in February that's when we get our bounus. Because I'm sure I'll have to replace everything

You looking to get debt free or what, the more you do to an old vehicle the more you want to do. Looking good though

I agree. You find one thing after another. But after I get the bugs work out and the heater going well. That's it until next yr. This Texas born and raised does not like cold weather. Thanks

Not much difference but I put a riser between the airfilter assembly and carburetor. It was hitting the distributor and I couldn't adjust anything on the carb, pick this up at auto zone, post-152013-146991549846_thumb.png

The difference it made was very helpful
