trans swap 4 speed to th400

Hello. I was wondering if its possible to swap my 1987 TH400 thats been recently rebuilt into a 1990 GMC 1500 4x4 with a 350 engine and a 4 speed manual. I dont care if the 4x4 works as i just need a work truck. Is it possible to just get rid of the transfer case? Also what will i need to get / modify to make this work? Thanks for the help guys!

  Ok well I guess Lake disagrees with me on a few points. I call oil consumption pretty basic. Rudimentary. He calls it "really complicated." I think 1qt consumed in 3k miles is a lot. He says that's normal. In 22 minutes, he'll use his natural talent to explain oil consumption to anyone watching this video. He covers everything from obvious engine damage to how normally functioning healthy engines consume oil by design. Lake explicitly states how you drive will impact oil consumption. Shut up and watch:

  Check for broken bolts holding the exhaust manifolds to the heads, common problem. Dorman makes a repair piece if you find you have broken 1s and don't want to do the surgery to replace them

  My dealer says it's the 6.6 from the HD modified for the 1500's. So, my money's on the 6.7.
