What is that rubberized loop that sticks up above the center of the back seats? I realize I'm highly likely to feel very stupid when someone responds, but...

Crew cab of course.

Ok. Not sure how that would work, my girls are 18 & 21 so don't have to worry about it for now, but thanks.

I don't feel too stupid. And I'm enough of a need to have read 2/3 of the manual so far. Will finish...

Thanks

It is part of the tether setup for child safety seats. There are two "latch" points on the bottom between the back and bottom of the seat for the child safety seats and then usually you have a strap with a hook to anchor the top of the safety seat to keep from flying forward. They attach to that loop as the seat doesn't fold down to allow access to mount anywhere else.

I use it to tie off the dogs leash when he's in the bed, keeps the dog in the truck lol
