Might be getting me a lift kit sooner than I thought!

I have been customizing my ride quite a bit sunk in about $5k so far, mostly all cosmetic and was by the dealership I purchased today to just shoot the shit and sit in a Corvette and dream a little since it was raining and I was out running errands. So I was talking the general manager who I am friendly with and do stuff like bring in doughnuts on all my service appointments as well as sent a few people to the dealership and got at least one referral bonus of $500 cash value at parts dept that I have never used. We talked some numbers on the trucks value and looked up Blue book value and were laughing how it has only went down $3500 from my purchase. (It has actually went down about 13,500 but Blue book is based on MSRP not your out the door as that changes for everyone. I got the -$10,000 Truck month cash price last year)

I mentioned I may be getting a lift and asked if they cared if I did it while still on lease as it is leased through that dealership as a commercial lease. They could care less as long as I do not devalue more than my residual (commercial are open ended lease no mileage as opposed to a closed ended one you also have a higher obligation and lower residual aka less risk to leasor).

In fact he even said that he would love to see the dealerships name across my big back window since it looks nice and unique and turns a few heads. I live on Vancouver Island which is a bit isolated and there are very few if any new model trucks modded at much as mine, totally not trying to brag though as I have seen ones on instagram that put mine to shame easily even after a lift. This is far from SOCal where every 5th vehicle is pimped out like your an oil barren. Said he will talk to the owner and see about doing a free lift install in their shop if I put up the cash for a lift. Here is hoping, he asked me to forward some pics so now I just need it to stop bloody raining where I am so I can shine it up first.

Does anyone have an opinion on a BDS 6inch lift vs a ReadyLift 6.5inch? The BDS is more expensive (almost 2x) it seems is it much better quality? I know lots of people has used ready lift with great success too and it is .5 inch higher. Hmm choices .. choices. I will certainly look around at existing posts but was feeling a little giddy and just had to share!
