I currently have a 2014 Silverado z71 1500 with 275/70 r18 bfg all terrain E load range. The tires have about 15,000 miles on them. they are wore out? I have been running about 40-45psi since put on truck. My buddy has a 2500 with same tires with over 40,000 miles on them, they still look like they have plenty of life left. I have taken truck to several tire places, the tires will not balance. Of course my luck, BFG has no tread warranty. I am going to buy some Toyo Open Country mt tires. They will be E load as well. Should i run more PSI? max 80 psi on tires. I can't keep buying tires every year. Anyone else had this problem?

An MT will wear out sooner than an AT so i would stick with an AT tire. Why the E rating? Go to a P and get a warranty. Unless you are towing heavy or off roading a ton they aren't beneficial in most instances other than zapping some mpg's.

You'll be buying tires every year with a mud terrain especially if you do a lot of city/highway driving.
