snow plow prep - rough ride

I wish the OP would have elaborated on what makes his ride uncomfortable. (what type of road condition, what does he feel)

I don't think the wheelbase length should affect how the front suspension operates. Now it does make the truck rock and roll when going over dips and large bumps, but I don't think that's what he's concerned about.

Another thing that I notice is how much rougher the ride is when I am empty, vs. having some load, but that affects the rear end more than the front.

I got the CC, which did not have plow-prep available and I plow snow. I added timbrens to the front and I have no complaints about how the truck rides with or without the plow on. I think this truck's suspension is a HUGE upgrade from my old 1998.

I would follow muddkatt's suggestion and check the tire pressure. That will do more to help than you would realize.

Eventually, your Timbrens will break your sway bar connections. Keep an eye on them at next service.

Been there, done that.

my complaint is when hitting potholes or speed bumps - the front end feels almost rigid. Pressure is about 40 psi and for sure when it's loaded with weight the ride feels better - but it's mostly the front end just feels solid sometimes esp when hitting a pothole. Thanks for all your input

Potholes and speed bumps are hard on any vehicle. If your truck is abnormally harsh in these situations, then get it checked out at a reputable suspension shop or your dealership. When I read this particular post, I immediately thought shocks and then I wondered if your truck has a spacer kit limiting suspension travel. As you can see you will get a diversity of opinions on this thread from air pressure in your tires to the hopeless. All of our opinions are based on our individual experiences coupled with the limited information we have about your particular truck. Take it to a professional to see first hand what needs to be done and please let us know what you find out!
