U Bolt Tightening

None of you...NONE...have posted the correct torque specs at all for the U bolts.

 

K2 1500 TRUCKS:

 

FIRST PASS: 59 FT.LBS.

 

SECOND PASS: LOOSEN 180 DEGREES.

 

THIRD PASS: 59 FT.LBS.

 

FINAL PASS: 120-140 DEGREES.

 

The bulletin says to TORQUE TO FACTORY SPECS. Not some random number that folks think is right based on the interwebs.

Yes, I tightened them on my 2017 CCSB sierra. Got rid of the clunking that was exaggerated by the clunky 8 speed when it was new. 5k miles and its smooth, except for the shakes at 70+, i paid extra for those.
