New Laptop

Well boys, I am talkin to ya from atop my brand spanking new Sony FX250 800mhz laptop!!! 15" screen on the thing, cd-rw, all the goodies. I AM PSYCHED!! Got it tonight and just finished installing all the crap I need. Well not all, still have a few programs to load tomorrow....I was offline all night and started going into GMTC DT's.............jones'n BIG time....its fast and with roadrunner for my ISP I can FLY putting up all those new posts in the forums and I just KNOW how happy that makes everyone!!!!!!!!!

Found a good deal at CompUSA. Regular ? but got it for ?. Had a Compaq prior to this but it had problems with overheating. The other choices were HP and Toshiba. I dont know much about HP and I hate the "eraser pointer" on the Toshiba. Sony review were real good and the quality seemed very good. even if they were all even, the price break on the Sony made it simple. Nothing else close to what I got price wise. If I gave up the CD burner I could have had other choices but I really wanted that. Anyway, sorry about the gloating.....As we all know, it seems fact for a week or so and then you get used to it and start tapping your fingers going "why is this taking so long??"!!

Congrats on the purchase..

My sister got her new labtop a while ago and its great.. It has the same speed as my computer at home and she takes it everywhere..

Sounds like a cool laptop. Congrats!! Looks like you have everything I have, but packed into a laptop. Sony's are awesome! I'd also like to get one someday, just need a good excuse to buy one, hehe.

Sounds like a nice one Newbie! Do you ever go to any of the computer shows around here? I've bough 2 computers from there. I got them both from these 5 asian guys that come up from the City. Great prices. Last one I bought was this 700mHz machine for about 500 dollars. Practically loaded. I'm a little nervous about buying a laptop from there though. Good luck with yours.
