Power seat fuse

I was wondering if someone could help me with a quick question. I have an LT with power seats, so I do not have memory seats. I have my seat where I want it, and I do not want it to be moved. It took me forever to get it to where it finally feels relatively comfortable. Question... is there a way to kill power to the seat? fuse? plug? any other clever way someone might know of?

Seems like it would be a pain to clean underneath then and might even throw codes if you just yank the fuse. Where this is a will there is a way though I suppose. Could always wire in an inline switch you would need to flip before seats got power.

I am the only driver so really only annoying when I have to move seats back n forth to clean. I use a piece of tape on the seat run it to the bracket then snip between. When I move them to clean I just relaign. Cannot help with the other 9 direction though =D. You can even use 2 peice of tape for 2 drivers or even 3 I suppose. Most people only use back n forth anyway. $1000 option or 2c worth of tape.

Alpine... I hear you man. I run in to the same issues. I'm the only driver too, but I have to take the truck in Friday for an alignment and a few other things, and I know from experience that when I get my truck back the seat will have been moved. It has happened every time someone besides me has driven my truck... service, window tint, tire shop.

Same boat. I used to just unplug the motor power wire before but who knows with these new seats. Airbags in the etc. i am a firm believer in memory seats on all power seats. I made a sign out of a sheet of paper that says do not move seat. I flip an edge of the paper over and hang it between cloth and plastic.

That's what concerned me most... taking power away from something like the air bag. I guess I'll have to make me a piece of paper as well.

Yup Yup, I am a computer engineer and one of the lessons you learn in such a career is always go for the low tech solution when available as it breaks down less and is cheaper to 'fix'. Cannot even count the number of times I have spent weeks programming some silly functionality that did no more than save users a single mouse click or some such other lazy thing.
