Hyperchip PP3 in a Vortec 5.3

Anybody have occasion to use one the Hyperchip PP3's in their 5.3? I recently had a Gibson dual exhaust system, along with a K&N air intake system installed on a 2001 Chevy short-bed, standard cab 4x4 (made worlds of diff in the mid-range power band, increased gas milleage about 1.2 mpg), but I need a little more oompf in the low end. I pull a small 5er, and could use some extra get-up-and-go accelerating from a stop. From a couple of web-based descriptions, it sounds like re-programming the computer might be the way to go.

I liked the gains from the hpp3 but from what I have heard the westers is the way to go. Its like getting ls1 edit but you dont have to do the trial and error yourself

dont waste your money on the hpp3 like i did, it doesnt do much for your truck that i can tell. the pcm change looks like the way to go!

i to didnt notice to much of and increase when i installed my.and i have the 5.3 Z71,airaid,flowmaster.but why did i buy it?because i someday what to get some 20"rims
