Best fix for rusted brake lines?

I picked up an '01 Silverado for cheap recently, with the caveat that the ABS module is bad and there's a lot of rust and some leaking from the lines leading into it. The lines are pretty badly rusted, so it'd be nice to replace them with something a little more durable and lest prone to corrosion. Is there a better solution out there, or is the best solution just to replace it with the same stuff?

I used a nickel/stainless line instead of the regular steel.

 

It comes in a roll, is easier to bend and you have to cut and flare it yourself.

 

It is more corrosion resistant and Much better to work with when routing.

GM makes a prebent brake line kit for your truck. I bought one for my 2004. It made things a little easier. I got it from one of the members from this board. He works at a Chevy dealer in PA. Got me the kit at a very fair price.

Mines pieced together with a bunch of auto parts lines.. I think on summit they have pre bent stainless brake line setups. I know they have pre bent fuel lines. Some day I'll probably get both and replace all of my lines.

You can use a product called nickel-cadmium brake line. It is a nickel/copper line which will of course not rust. Runs about 70 bucks a roll in Canada. Not sure where you can get it but my buddy works at a hydraulic shop and got me a roll. However, the stuff is pretty easy to kink. If you are making a sharp bend, remeber to use something to bend the line around as a guide.
