Turn signal question

Help! My 96 GMC Sierra 4X4 w/ 5.7 L turn signal flasher is screwed up i think. Turn signals work fine but when not using them it makes the sound like they are on. Is it the flasher that plugs in to the fuse box? It says "combination flasher" on it?

I would say it is definately the relay. If you can hear it inside the cab then it should be under the dash. This happened to me on an older truck and it was under the dash. I just listened for the noise and when I think I had it pin pointed I touched the relays until I found the one viberating.

I think your fault is the multifunction switch. I have seen this several times with T-blazers. C-K trucks have the same setup. It is the switch in the column that includes the cruise lever etc...
