Not another frame rust thread

Ive got a '16 2500 CC 6.0 and the dealer had a third party spray on an additional coating of "protection." Before i picked it up, i had them throw on some moulded splash guards. Well, as i crawled under the truck today to install my amp running boards, i can see where the tech ruined all of the wax when he put the truck up on the lift. And i dont just mean the third party stuff, it rubbed everything off down to bare metal. How can they put such garbage on these trucks that the first time its on a lift, there goes any protection you had out the window!?!?! What do you guys recommend i put on the spots they messed up?

Unfortunately living in a salt state and owning several new trucks there's not much hope on keeping the underside rustfree. Rust is going to show up on the underside after the first winter of road spray. I wouldn't be concerned about the frame, axles, suspension parts they are going to get surface rust. It is disappointing but not much way around it.

Can you patch that stuff in with the spray can and have it look somewhat decent?

I have been able to. The factory 'dip' application puts the material on pretty thick, so sometimes you have to apply a few coats to build it up.

A couple coats is ok with me. I cant believe the dealer doesnt have some to spray on there after the truck comes off the lift! Completely stripped it down to bare metal where the lift pad was under the frame
