I had to get rid of my problem plagued 2014 GMC crew, plus I hated towing my 5000lb trailer with it, only do it every few months, but just didn't like it.

The dealer that dealt with my problem truck all along gave me a great price on the GMC, and a smoking deal on the new one. I think they felt bad for me...LOL

2016 2500 crew Z71 all star package.

I just bought that same exact truck, color, wheels, clearance lights, everything. Are you going to level it? If so what are you going to do to level it?

im hoping my raise is going to be huge. I want me some 910ft lbs to play with.

I kinda did too for a hot minute, until I looked more at the l5p. It looks like a nightmare to work on. It's only a tune or two away on the lml though.

Haha nice welcome! I did the same and got rid of my plagued 1500 for a 2500 diesel. There are comparisons. The two biggest things that were by far the worst in my 14 1500 were the shitty transmission and the terrible ride quality.

I thought the 1500 ride was pretty good...but I really couldn't stand the tranny. Not only the way it operated, but the last 10k miles I have had a noise, squeak/grind thing going on. Dealer, can't find it, because it's not bad enough, they could barely hear it. With all the touble Ive had, I did not think the 1500 would last as long as my other 2500's...so I made the switch back.

I had a lot of techs going for rides with me looking for the tranny noise, one in particular was real good. He said, the 1500 tranny simply gets into the high gears too quick, and its reluctant to downshift, and when it finally realizes it has to, BAM, hard crappy downshifts. And GM has no plans for reprogram it.

He also said something that really made sense to me, and was the reason I got the 2500. He said a lot of people complaining about the 1500 in general, came from a 2500. Reason being the 2500 are work trucks, they don't try to do all the crap the 1500's do. The 1500's are trying to be carlike, the 2500's know what they are, they are trucks, and They are more solid, and stay solid longer.

The plan is to level it a little with some drop shackles in back.
