Oil pressure gauge

So I feel like my oil pressure gauge is reading to high. I've got 4 quarts of oil in it, and it's reading at damn near wha I'm assuming is 60 pounds when I'm at 45 MPH and accelerating. I've got a 2005 Sierra 4.3 liter V6 4x4 work truck.

60 psi is quite normal.

 

Running low on oil is not going to decrease your oil pressure until the pump starts to suck air instead of oil.

Do you use the local quick lube (monkey boys) oil change place? I would double check that you are using the correct viscosity oil and go ahead and change it ASAP myself so I know 100% what is in there.
