Seat broken? Help

Recommended Posts

Ok, washed the truck this morning, then to the car wash to use the vacuum. Cleaning the interior and move to the passenger side and pull the seat lever that moves the back of the seat either up or down (like laying down flat....the recliner I guess) so I can vacuum down in there and to move the front seat forward to get to the back. Well, when done and going to flip the backrest part of the seat up, it doesnt lock into place. I play with it a little, fidgeting with the lever, trying to get it to stay locked back in the upright position...but it wont WTF :D

Play with it another minute and decide that something is wrong, the d**n thing wont lock upright (or in any posistion EXCEPT flat ) no matter what I do.

What the hell..... anybody have any clue as to what I can do or what might be wrong. Am I gonna have to pay some monkeys at the shop to fix it???

Thanks...

Try moving the seat back and forth in the track a few times and make sure it locks into position and then try to set the back where you need it.

I don't know if it is like that in your truck, but some vehicles won't lock the seat back in an upright position unless the seat bottom is securely locked fore/aft.
