Hi Everyone,

I have a 2016 GMC denali 1500 and I want to put on a set of splash guards. I have been looking online and it looks like you need to drill a hole if you want to use the factory GMC splash guards (molded type). Is drilling really needed? I dont want to drill a hole in my new truck.

The Weathertec doesn't require the drilling but i like the factory look better.

Thank for any help.

I just installed Husky splash guards, no drilling required. They do have an optional hole marked if you want to drill for added strength. They have strong double sided tape there so you don't have to drill if you don't want to.

I agree. I didn't want drill mine either. I put on weather tech on mine. They went on very easy and look pretty good.

just drill the holes, they mount to the plastic moldings and fit perfect

For the factory guards are you drilling into the plastic or metal?

Factory flaps require a shitload of drilling... Big holes too. And thy require a Nutsert installation tool for the front set. So you have to find one of those. I boxed mine up and brought them right back to the dealer... Ordered and installed the weather tech ones and couldn't be happier.... My 0.02
