Hi all,

I have a 2014 Chevy silverado.

I just had a draw test done, with all the fuses pulled out of the engine bay, driver side, and passenger side.

its still getting a 45 mili amp draw with all that disconnected, im stumped.

I have an aftermarket radio installed ( it has the E-Z gm hook up wiring & has been installed for over a year)

and

an after market remote start which has been on the truck for two year, since i got it.

i haven't had a problem like this before, i dont know what could be drawing off the battery.

Hi shotmark,

I’m sorry to hear about this battery draw issue you’re experiencing and I certainly understand your frustration. Have you been to your Chevrolet dealer to have this issue further diagnosed? If not, we’d be more than happy to reach out on your behalf. In order to proceed, please send us a private message with your VIN and preferred dealer.

45 mA doesn't sound that bad, especially with vehicles these days and all the increasing electronics. Is there a problem with the truck discharging the battery? I've come to understand that anything under 50mA is acceptable these days for a KOEO battery draw. When my 2003 Silverado had a parasitic draw from the cluster, it was pulling about 150mA and would drain the battery in about 7-10 days if I didn't drive it. After I fixed it, it went down to about 40 mA and I never had any more problems. Since that truck was an LT, it had the memory seats, memory mirrors, auto climate, etc among other things. All those modules draw a bit of power to keep the memory and settings, and everything I read indicated that 40-50 mA for even that truck, was acceptable.
