Braking issue on 2002 Silverado 1500

Looking for any suggestions for what may be happening with a 2002 Silverado 1500 LT, 4.8L V8 with braking. Intermittent issue in which it feels as though the brakes lock up while partially engaged; at this time, the brake pedal will feel like it is able to partially depressed, but then cannot be depressed any further. It is not a "hard brake" feeling, as it is not at all possible to depress further without releasing it first. New rotors and calipers all around prior to my ownership - apparently the previous brakes with a complete wreck. Fluid level is fine, normal color/appearance/viscosity. Brake lines have not been replaced. No ABS lights on, but a history code for a rear wheel sensor, which has not been replaced to my knowledge. New left wheel bearing, and doesn't pull / etc., so don't think it's the right bearing. Nothing done with the master brake cylinder or any ABS sensors to my knowledge.

 

Of additional note, have had issues with the truck braking inappropriately engaging and locking my trailer brakes. Brake controller is apparently functional and appears to be wired correctly; trailer braking system has been checked and brakes appropriately when towed by other vehicles. Unsure if this could be related to the braking issue with the truck itself.

were the flexible brake lines replaced? Which brakes seem to be locking up, front or rear?

Brake lines were not replaced, or if they were, not recently. I think it is the front brakes, based on the behavior and feeling, but that's a guess.

its your abs sensors giving mixed signals to the controller. happens to my truck. gm has a recall for people who live in the "salt belt" states. its caused by corrosion affecting the sensors readings.
