Vibration after new U-Joints

I had a issue with my 5 speed manual hung up in reverse, pulled the tranny and transfer case, thought while i have them out i would replace all the u-joints and the carrier bearing, reinstalled and now have a vibration that starts at 40mph, I marked the driveline whenI pulled it out but decided to paint it and painted over my mark (my bad, I was really tired) so trying to see if anyone knows if the weight on the front driveline should be toward the front or towards the rear ?

I don't think it makes a difference, they are balanced.

Turn it around and see if it helps. :happysad:

There's no standard, the weight is added to whichever end is out of balance. Besides flipping the driveshaft, you may need to rotate it 90 degrees at a time until you get the vibration out. Mark you driveshaft clearly, you have eight possibilities. 4 positions with the weight towards the front and 4 positions with the weight towards the rear. You have to be methodical otherwise you will waste your time.

Thank you for the input, I dropped the driveline back out and reclocked the back half 180 degrees, no more vibration, will finish painting the driveline now which will include some bright markers showing the proper mating of all the sections.
