Dealer couldn't recreate the issue. They say it'll take awhile to dig into it and see what's wrong. I might just drive it for another 1000 miles or so and see if it gets worse or better...

Try swapping the wheel/tire with one from a different position and see if it fallows the tire. And the. Go from there.

That's my next plan of attack, put the fronts on the back and vice versa. I feel like this *should* solve this.

Would the dealer charge me for the tire rotation? I wouldn't think so, and I don't think I should be since clearly it's a manufacturer issue.

You have a brand new truck = WARRANTY!

If they are telling you it will take a long time to figure it out, or how they can not duplicate the issue... drop the keys on the service manager's counter and say you want a loaner. Then they can play as long as they want "trying" to recreate the problem.

They will find the issue before you finish your next cup of complementary coffee in the dealership lobby.

I called them and told them just that. I'm dropping it off after work today and told them to keep it until they find what's wrong. They probably just need to re-balance the wheels from the factory, should've done that the first time I brought it in.

I hate to say it but plan on getting used to it. There are many complaints of this noise and not many solutions that have been found. I think the best solution seen so far was the Michelin tires. Seems most are just getting frustrated with the dealers not finding any solution. Mine drove me nuts for the first 5k mile but now I don't notice it unless the radio is off or I think of listening for it.

It's not a noise. It's a rumble that changes with the speed of the truck at the driver side front wheel.

It has to be tire related... There are a lot of people who had flat spots on their SRA's. Those things are terrible.

I agree. It's got to be. Hopefully they replace it.

So I picked the truck up yesterday. Dealership said they found a wiring harness slapping against the floorboard that was causing it. Told me they test drove it and it went away. I didn't get a mile away from the dealership before I felt the same rumble again. I told them that they needed to do a wheel balance twice now and they haven't done that either time. Hello frustration!

Wiring harness that's a new one... It sucks nowdays we spend 50K + on a new truck and sometimes don't even get a follow up phone call after driving away. I've owned 5 new trucks in that past 15 years and have lost all confidence dealerships. A couple years ago I had an issue that would have been covered by warranty but didn't bother bringing it in and fixed it myself out of pocket because I figured from past experiences they dealership would probably screw up something else or not find the real problem. Looking forward to the day I can make a couple clicks on the keyboard and my new truck will show up at my door without having to go through a dealer. I hope they get your issue figured out without too many wasted trips.

Have done this several times myself. Fixing shit that shouldn't have broken to begin with, would have been covered by warranty, but have so little faith in dealers that I just take care of it myself. Just sad really. Every time you take it in the break something or smudge, or scratch, dent, etc. your new truck/car. Drives me nuts.

Next time I go in there I'm telling them don't even call me to tell me it's done until there's been a wheel balance and the tire has been thoroughly inspected. I just don't have time to keep taking it back in there all the time.

Okay so I just dropped the the truck off the the THIRD time. We shall see what they say. My best guess: "It's normal"
