Squeaky seat brackets

My Z's (1994) bucket seat rails have too much slack in them and allow the seat to rock back and forth enough to produce noticeable movement and noise.

 

Is there a way to get new seat rails/mounts or what???

 

I have the powered driver cloth bucket and standard passenger bucket.

To answer my own question , (cough cough) ahem.....

 

On the GM Direct parts website, the part numbers are:

 

Drivers side bucket riser- 15975329

 

Drivers side bucket riser -15991509

 

Pass -15991504

 

Pass - 12376293

 

Other than finding a way to "engineer" thin metal strips and sliding them into the brackets to take up the slack that has developed, this is the way to fix a seat with too much fore/aft motion and noise.

 

One part number is for the selector side/motors. The other number is for the opposite slider.
