2016 High Country issues

Totally understand, and there's no reason for that.

Mine is a '14, I went through the vibration on the highway thing. Couple sets of good years, a set of Michelin's. The vibration would go away everytime they worked on it, but eventually come back. I figured there's no fix so I decided to lift it and install bigger tires, my thinking was if it's gonna vibrate like it has big tires, might as well look cool and go where I want it to. I still pick up on it from time to time, but I think it depends on which way the wind is blowing. LOL. Good luck to you bro, hope yours gets resolved.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure this is going to be a cut and dry TC issue, but let's see where they go with it.

Got a call, they said they balanced the tires but that didn't fix it. I can expect the next update tomorrow.

Interestingly, according to my OnStar and myChevrolet apps, they haven't even driven it a mile yet.

Either the apps are lying to me or it must be hell figuring out what the issue is without actually testing anything... It most certainly would take more than under a mile to even get a good feel for what's going on.

I just got a call, he said that the issue is that I have the selector in "Auto 4WD" (which I do) and that when he put it in 2WD, the issue went away (which is false because I tried that). I'm going to go pick it up and take it to a different dealer.

Long story short, dealership had the truck for a week and did the torque converter replacement. Said that the old converters caused a foaming in the trans fluid somehow and that's what was causing the issues.

The truck runs just fine now, no more shudder under that set of circumstances (or at all from what I can tell).

Now, the dealership on the other hand... Well, as the saying goes "if you don't have something nice to say"...

You sir, are a true gentleman. Careful, polite, mature. And I got your point anyway. Well done.

I personally would not video my mechanic without his/her knowledge. I know you captured questionable behavior but I would feel pretty violated if I was "secretly" being filmed at work. I suspect some unrecorded discussions took place that negated the need to further examine your vehicle. A suggestion you could make to your dealership is that they have windows to the service bay. My dealership has a viewing area to the service department. I enjoy watching but not with the idea of trying to catch somebody doing something wrong.
