Drainage Question

Recommended Posts

Posted

Got home from a 12 day 3000 mile trip yesterday evening. Last last leg was driving from Manassas, VA to home, northern Illinois just South of Wisconsin.

Most of the trip was driving into a stiff 10-20mph headwind; with fog, a lot of rain and snow along the way. Temps in Manassas were in the low 60's when I left; and -4*F when I got home!!

I went to add washer fluid, check the oil, and empty my catch can this morning.........................as I opened the hood, water poured out each of the "drainage" holes? on either side of the hood about half way down. Poured water onto the battery area and the power distribution area on either side of the truck. The only place I can see water getting in there is from the hood latch area. I'm wonder if the wind and the rain and snow somehow pushed it in there???

Any comments???
