2003 suburban 4x4 problems

When I put my suburban in 4x4 high on dry pavement and put in drive suburban acts like its walking down the highway and shaking suburban side to side really bad. 4x4 Inguage and disengage fine please help with any info.

You should never put it in 4wd when on dry pavement.The crazy movements are it's way of telling you it doesn't like it.

What do I run it in on slick roads

Thanks for your reply i also have a new 4x4 and it drives fine on dry payvment unlike the 03 suburban of course unless you turn withch is normal. Im just thinking snow is comming mabey icy roads. What is best to run it in. I want yo make sure nothing os wrong with 4x4 on sub. Pardon me for my being uneducated
