Mirror Question

I Got my rig in sept. The only thing that it did not come with, and I didn't want to wait cause it was a smoking deal, was tow mirrors. It only has the stock mirrors. Does anyone know how difficult it is to change out the stock. I found some at Rock and am wondering if its just a plug and play swap. Thanks for the help in advance..

Need mirrors and door harnesses to have them function properly.

23372181 (chrome) or 23372182 (black) are the GM mirror kits. 23342729 and 23342715 are the door harnesses you need. Your BCM needs to be re-calibrated as well.

I have 2015 2500 WT had basic tow mirrors.. not even power adjustment!

I installed the power fold DQS mirrors, after trying many harnesses and researching slot I got everything to work but the amber light, heat element (no defrost circuit on the truck) and the LED cargo lights... All else working with no splicing... Two splices later and I have ambers and LED's now too! Still don't have heat but I'm not worried about it...

Moral of the story even the most basic trucks can have the fancy mirrors installed with enough cash and sweat

Will the dealer flash the BCM?, the vid I found for a 15 was just changing out the mirror and harness and it all worked...

I am not looking for the power fold or auto tilt in reverse. Will I still need to flash the BCM? I doubt the dealer would do it.

The kits I listed are not power fold or auto tilt. Do you have an LT trim truck? If so, it wouldn't have memory or reverse tilt to start with (DL8 mirrors). The DL3 small mirrors, if you had those and an LTZ or High Country trim level, would be memory and reverse tilt.

I don't think you will really need to reprogram. If you do, you will find out via something not functioning correctly (cargo lamps, signals, etc. in the mirror).

I thought I was going to need a bcm flash but was happy to find out everything works on the tow mirrors on their own. Power, heat, signals, clearence lights and led spots. From everything I've read I should have needed a trip to the dealer. Here are the part numbers I used.

Where would you suggest i order? there are several sites. I was trying directgm.com but they cant place any orders till after the 15th for some reason.
