Heat The Seats With Switch?

Today i popped off the grey plastic piece on the dash around the screen.

I found 2 wires plugged into it which is doing nothing and i am thinking maybe these are for the heated seats?

Does anyone know if thats what these are?

Has anyone done this?

Does it seem like something that could be done?

would the wiring be ran to the seats already?

Any info is good!

The body harness and instrument panel harness have some of the plugs for option features that your truck did not come with, though those plugs are there they wont do anything in regards to the OEM heated seats. The OEM seats are controlled thru the BCM, even though you could buy all of the OEM parts (which is super pricey and not really cost prohibitive) you wont be able to get the BCM updated as the dealers are not able to program the BCM with any calibration other than the one that is on file in the GM Global system for your VIN and the options tied to your VIN.

 

Since the K2xx trucks (2014+) came out GM closed the loophole where you could use another VIN from another vehicle to gain features, now the modules are tied/married to the VIN for the vehicle and the options that vehicle had when it was built.
