Volant 5.3 intake fit 6.2

I currently have a 2016 silverado ltz with 5.3. I have a 2017 truck on build that is suppose to be here soon with a 6.2.

My question is will my volant intake fit the new engine? Do I need to get a new coupler for the throttle body?

No one's sure if it will fit yet. It's not known If the 17s are different. I'm in the same boat lol

Did your volant kit come with a choice of two throttle body to intake pieces? I've seen a lot of intakes the same for both engines, but have diff throttle body pieces. The 5.3 has a smaller throttle body.

My intake did not come with 2 pieces for the throttle body. So the worse I would have to do is get a new silicone coupler?

Check out intakehoses.com, they will prob have what you need. When I had my TBSS I built my own intake using parts from there. Other than that I would only worry about maybe the 6.2 intake has a bigger tube than the 5.3. Does your volant current have a neck down for the 5.3 throttle body?

The volant intake is a 4inch tube at both ends. On the throttle body side only the coupler is reduced down

Just got a 17 6.2 and was thinking about getting a Volant. Are they worth it?

I like it. Adds a nice little growl to the engine. Especially when you have a exhaust system. Far as horse power or fuel economy. Can't really say. But I did notice a big difference in throttle response when I took it off. It lags more when the stock box

I hate to say it but I really want it to be loud that's mainly why I'm considering it. And I would like a more responsive throttle.

If you don't have a exhaust system in. I can tell you all you will hear us the intake. It's pretty loud by itself. I have a borla s-type exhaust to. So I had noise from both ends

I plan on getting cat back system possibly from mbrp as well. Is it so loud you can't hear anything in the cab when accelerating?

It's not that loud. You definitely know it's there tho. no different than any other intake system far as noise goes. But the exhaust system really makes it sound good

I'll probably end up with a Volant then I just wanted to make sure it wasn't obnoxiously loud. I like the fact that it's closed box as well.
