Max tire size on stock 14 crew cab

Wondering what the max tire size for a stock 14 crew cab is with 18 inch rims. Don't want to have any rubbing issues.

They say 265/65/18

I'm running 275/70/18 Duratracs and that's the biggest you wanna go stock. I get very slight rubbing at full crank, but nothing other than that.

I put 275/70/18 BFG KO2's on recently. Zero lift. Very slight rubbing when turning at full lock, but otherwise okay.

Wonder if I searched if I could find the answer to that same exact question?

If i searched then a smart@ss like you couldn't have your fun during the day....

Thank you to the others that responded. i'll look for 275's

I've got 285-65-18 on mine with absolutely no issues. If I can do it again, I may have chosen the 275-70-18 for a little more sidewall.

I would recommend getting a leveling kit for either set of tires.

I ran Falken Wildpeaks AT3 - 275/70/18 before my level for 2 days with 0 rub..

Do any of you have mud flaps on the front? wondering if that would cause a rubbing issue.

My truck is stock, except for the tires. The rub appears to be at full lock, and is most likely the inner fender liner. It is so minor, I haven't cared enough to look/confirm that it's the case.

How much performance loss did you notice with this size tire verses stock? Like power, mpg's, and braking? Thanks. I assume the 275/70/18 would be about the same.

I'm sure there's a difference in performance that could be measured if you hook the truck up to a computer. I don't feel any "seat of the pants" difference.

Bear in mind that my truck has the 3.42 rear axle ratio. I ran the numbers and with the bigger tires, the new "final drive ratio" is something like 3.35, which is still lower than the available 3.08 axle.
