You answered a lot of questions for me.  That is the same set up and tire I am looking at.  I ordered a moto fab 2" spacer that goes under the strut though.

If you have stamped steel control arms, you will rub with a 305 and factory wheels.  I ran that setup, it rubbed on the sway bar and upper control arm quite a bit.

I have a 2012 Gmc sierra denali on 2.5 in level/lift and want to keep stock rims. Would 305/55 fit on mine with no rub?? Want something wider

you're in the wrong forum, this one is for 2014-2018 trucks

Jason so what if I went with the 2.25" FRONT LEVELING KIT W/ CONTROL ARMS - GM 1500 TRUCK by ReadyLIFT on my 2017 could I fit the 305's with no rub?  Will I need the spacers?

Update, I got the 305/55r20s installed today along with my 2.25 inch procomp level. On stock 20 inch slt wheels, no rub even at full lock, No spacers needed.

Did you have to replace the upper control arms? I thinking of the same tire on my truck but with the 2.25" ReadyLIFT kit with upper control arms.

With factory wheels?  You will probably still rub on the sway bar with factory wheels at full lock.  It won't be terrible though, I lived with it on my truck.  I was able to reduce the rubbing a little by running a small 1/4" spacer on the front wheels.

Yup the factory 20's. So getting the spacers will help then. So I'm curious how Justin who started this thread how he got his on with no rub as he states with no spacers?

I'm really not sure how he's getting away with zero rubbing.  Like I mentioned, my 305s with a leveling kit rubbed alot on the control arms and sway bar.

I'm actually very surprised those tires fit. It's usually the width that gets you and rubs on the UCA and sway bar. Not a lot of room in the rear of the front wheel well. I'm looking at 275/60/20 which maintains stock width, but increases diameter to 33". Not convinced they will fit. Looking at 20" aftermkt rims in +10 to  +18 offset , to push the tire out just a hair. I have no problem using zip ties or modding the felt liner. It's the lower rear of the front wheel well that has the black plastic trim piece on it that I keep looking at.

I did the Bilstein 6112's up front on 3rd setting. I have a little more room than stock, but have turned my steering wheel all the way on both sides and there's very little wiggle room on those damn square wheel wells.

I'm sure you probably already got this figured out since this thread is like 9 months old, but figured I'd add my experience.

I'm running 33x12.50r20 w/ the same stock wheels as you. It rubbed pretty bad on the UCA so I added 1.75" bora wheels spacers. It now rubs the fender liner slightly at full lock, but nothing crazy. No more rub on the UCA though.
