BAK Roll X Cover

I bought a used Roll X cover because I wanted to try a BAK product. In the past I have purchased the soft roll up covers with the velcro on the sides which were Truxedo Lo Pro and Access Vanish, both fantastic covers. As we get older I am told our minds get closed so I decided to against the grain and try something different. Buying a used cover I full well knew the rubbers were a little worn and cover itself a little faded no big deal. However, what I didnt expect was how bad the cover was for my use. My truck sits outside in the Canadian winters and I roll the cover all the way open at least once a week. With that being said I do keep it cleaned off as I know nothing will roll if it has snow on it. This cover has flimsy rails, the side locks on each side down each rail freeze on me constantly and most recently the flat bar that sits on the box edge bent as the cover was rolled closed as well as rubber teeth snapping off the bottom of the cover. When I do roll it closed it doesnt settle flat and has to sit in the sun before I can lock and latch it. I dont think this cover is a great option for an application such as I am using it for. Basically I'm posting this for information only I am glad I didnt pay new price for one of these when a soft roll from another mfg for half the price would work perfect. I have heard the Revolver X2 which replaced the Roll X is improved. Pics attached.
