Opinions on Suspension for 2005 Ext. Cab Z71 4x4?

I was hoping to get some opinions on a Rough Country 2.5" suspension leveling kit, and the Rough Country 4" suspension lift kit. I like the looks of both, however I've heard mixed opinions on the leveling kit. Some say it ruins your ride and your front end components deteriorate, but other people say that theirs has not ruined ride quality and has not had any problems with the front end. The Rough Country website says that if the leveling kit is installed properlly it won't ruin ride quality or front end parts.

The reason I looked at the lift kit is because I've heard more people say it doesn't mess the front end up as much and still maintains ride quality. I know the 4" lift would cost more money, but if it saves my some in the long run by not deteriorating the front end it may be worth it to spend the extra $1500 to do so.

P.S.

 

I want to level my truck out and give it a bit more ground clearance, without the raked look. The biggest tire size I'd go is 34. I'm open to other options other than Rough Country.
