I didn't shrink wrap my connectors. The plug gaskets seem to fit tightly enough. I'd also recommend Rigid SAE fog lights if you want even more light output. Regardless, the HID kit will be a great improvement.

Below is the 5500k kit with Rigid fogs.

Awesome output for sure. I have rigid fog inbound from MRT Motorsports. Can't decide if I want go this route or the 16 led headlight swap.

  The 10L90 was used in high horsepower cars and SUVs (higher HP/torque version of 10L80). The HD trucks have the 10L1000 which was co-developed with Allison and is not related to the 10L80/90 which was co-developed with Ford. The 10L1000 replaced the 6L90 used with gas HD trucks in the current generation of the HD trucks.

  I have the 10L80 gas transmission. It rides at 145 or just a tad higher in the heat. Haven't towed with it yet. Both of my trailers are lightweight, 900 - 1500lbs empty, so I won't be pulling a whole lot of weight with it when I do pull them. But given this statement, "Ideal temps for automatic transmissions to do their job the best is 175-220F", what does that mean for our gasser trannies? Are they not operating at ideal temp? Or do those temps only apply to the 10L90 on the HD trucks?

  At a certain point(maybe not now for you), i just replace them with an OEM part. My opinion is that it will pay for itself in better fuel economy than relying on one that got cleaned with a spray.

  I know the upfitter switch deal well; my truck didn't have it, so in one day I retrofitted/wired the kit, and since I knew I'd have several panels off, I did the same day a High Country cluster, and console charging/cooling. That charger cooling tube was the worst part of the deal. The gauges are MaxTow. I don't need an iDash, as the HC cluster has all that information, and I'm using the OBD for a pass-through for the Intellihaul cameras? or the GM dash camera?, anyway. I'm ending up going under the hood to the fuse box. I identified constant hot/switched hot/illumination and have some piggyback taps in. Just waiting for an 4-wire 18-gauge cable to come in the 29th to finish. I already ran the sensors, and have the gauges/pod mounted. If I could've found what I needed on the fuse panel by the light switch, they'd be up and going.

  Good question. Most to all of what I hear in internet land is to have 212 trans temp to boil off the water. That`s where my earlier comment was coming from.
