I cant figure this problem out. I keep getting bank 1&2 lean codes but ive checked for vacuum leaks and nothing, my mass air flow is fine with no unmetered air coming in. Ive cleaned the tps and replaced its gasket. Wheb the code is thrown the truck acts like its out of gas just stumbling and when i press the gas it just sputters but the strange thing is that it is not a constant thing its very intermittent. If any of yall have any ideas please help im stumped

Thanks

It's says it in the title, "2006 chevy 2500 6.0".

You need to check you fuel pressure.

It also is tagged for the editing.

OP - Has the intake gasket been changed yet and what outside temp is this happening at?

Has not been changed yet but didnt figure it needed to i sprayed brake cleaner all around it while running with no engine response to it. And the outside temp has been cold, warm or hot it doesnt matter it still does it

Ive checked it and its fine 58 psi

Mileage? Probably around 170k?

58 psi is at the low end of the spec.

If it has a returnless fuel system the fuel pressure regulator is at the fuel pump so you will never see it leaking.

Intake gaskets are very common for leaking. You can thank the ethanol fuel for that. GM has updated gaskets if I remember correctly. There is a foam sound blocker at the front and rear under the intake, if you spray carb cleaner under the intake it will most likely not do anything.

I would double check fuel pressure under load. Use only OEM fuel pump module.

Intake gaskets are really easy to do.

Mass air flow could be questionable. Again, use only OEM parts. It will run with the MAF disconnected, you could try that first.

As well as intake gaskets, if you have broken off bolts on the exhaust manifolds (a common problem with these engines), that will also cause a lean condition (as in, clean air gets sucked into the exhaust, fooling the O2 sensors into thinking the engine is running too lean).

First I would Clean, and clean WELL, the throttle, and plate, and behind it with throttle body cleaner ONLY, not any other cleaner. a dirty plate can cause this, and inner housing. I think intake leak would be more consistent . Pull the MAF and stuff aside and concentrate on the Throttle, not just the TPS, the whole area. Record what RPM the symptom occurs ..

58 KOEO or under load? You have a returnless system, as I do and mine is 55 KOEO and 65 under load. I'm not sure if mine is within spec but I know it's close.

Well i hooked up a pressure gauge and ran it up to tape it to my window so i could see the fuel pressure while driving. But luckily it was throwing its fit and the pressure was goin everywhere but it would mainly sit at 10psi the jump up a bit then back down to 20 then ten and occassionally less. It would happen at no particular rpm in case yall were wondering. So what are yalls thoughts?

You definitely need to replace your fuel pump assembly.

Yea i figured. Im gonna do the tilt bed technique. Thats for your guys input but just to be sure yall dont think anything else could be causing it? Pcm? Unmetered air? I just want to cover all bases
